Product Care

Taking proper care of your leather bag is essential to maintaining its beauty and ensuring it lasts for many years to come. Each leather item in our collection has unique care needs depending on the type of leather, and we’ve outlined the best practices for keeping your bag in top condition.

Full-Grain and Vegetable-Tanned Leather

For full-grain and vegetable-tanned leather, we include a tin of beeswax leather cream with your purchase. This cream helps nourish and protect the leather, enhancing its natural patina over time. To use:

  1. Clean the Surface: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away any dust or dirt from your bag.

  2. Apply the Beeswax Cream: Using a soft undyed cloth or your fingertips, apply a thin layer of beeswax cream evenly across the surface of the leather.

  3. Buff the Leather: Allow the cream to absorb for a few minutes, then buff the leather with a clean, soft undyed cloth, or horsehair brush to bring out the shine.

  4. Repeat as Needed: For bags that are used regularly, apply the cream every 3–6 months or whenever the leather appears dry.

This treatment will help maintain the durability and rich color of your full-grain leather bag, while also providing a layer of water resistance.

Suede Leather

Suede requires a bit more attention, as its texture can attract dust and dirt. For proper care:

  1. Brush Regularly: Use a soft-bristled suede brush to gently lift dust and dirt from the surface. Brush in one direction to avoid damaging the texture.

  2. Stain Removal: If your suede bag gets stained, use a suede eraser or a clean white cloth with a small amount of water to blot the stain. Avoid rubbing, as this can damage the fibers.

  3. Avoid Water: Suede is more sensitive to water than other types of leather. If your suede bag gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally (never use direct heat sources like hair dryers).

Storage Instructions

Proper storage is essential to preserving the shape and condition of your bag:

  1. Keep it Dry: Store your leather bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading and drying.

  2. Use Dust Bags: When not in use, store your bag in a dust bag or soft cotton cloth to protect it from dust and dirt.

By following these simple care tips, your leather bag will remain a beautiful, durable accessory for years to come.
