Stitching: The Strength of Heritage

Every Linden is Enough piece is handmade, but some of our designs go a step further, constructed using the traditional saddle stitching technique.

Unlike machine stitching, which relies on a single thread and lockstitch mechanism, saddle stitching is done entirely by hand using two needles and a single piece of waxed thread. This creates a stronger, more durable stitch because even if one side of the thread wears down, the other remains intact, preventing unraveling. The result is a long-lasting, high-quality finish that enhances both durability and aesthetics.

Saddle stitching has been used by Moroccan artisans for generations, a skill passed down through families of leatherworkers. This technique is a testament to the dedication and expertise of Morocco’s craftsmen, ensuring that each hand-stitched Linden is Enough piece carries with it a legacy of precision and tradition.
